2 Chronicles 20:31-21:7

20:31And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi. 20:32And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the LORD. 20:33Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers. 20:34Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, who is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel. 20:35And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly: 20:36And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Eziongaber. 20:37Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.

21:1Now Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.21:2And he had brethren the sons of Jehoshaphat, Azariah, and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah: all these were the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel.21:3And their father gave them great gifts of silver, and of gold, and of precious things, with fenced cities in Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram; because he was the firstborn.21:4Now when Jehoram was risen up to the kingdom of his father, he strengthened himself, and slew all his brethren with the sword, and divers also of the princes of Israel.21:5Jehoram was thirty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.21:6And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD.21:7Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever.

2 Kings 8:16-22

16And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.17Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.18And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.19Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.20In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.21So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.22Yet Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time.

2 Kings 4:1-7

1Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.2And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.3Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.4And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.5So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.6And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.7Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

Luke 22:14-30

14And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.15And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:16For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.17And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:18For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.19And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.20Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.21But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.22And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!23And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.24And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.25And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.26But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.27For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.28Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.29And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;30That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
