Ezekiel 42:1-43:12

42:1Then he brought me forth into the utter court, the way toward the north: and he brought me into the chamber that was over against the separate place, and which was before the building toward the north. 42:2Before the length of an hundred cubits was the north door, and the breadth was fifty cubits. 42:3Over against the twenty cubits which were for the inner court, and over against the pavement which was for the utter court, was gallery against gallery in three stories. 42:4And before the chambers was a walk of ten cubits breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors toward the north. 42:5Now the upper chambers were shorter: for the galleries were higher than these, than the lower, and than the middlemost of the building. 42:6For they were in three stories, but had not pillars as the pillars of the courts: therefore the building was straitened more than the lowest and the middlemost from the ground. 42:7And the wall that was without over against the chambers, toward the utter court on the forepart of the chambers, the length thereof was fifty cubits. 42:8For the length of the chambers that were in the utter court was fifty cubits: and, lo, before the temple were an hundred cubits. 42:9And from under these chambers was the entry on the east side, as one goeth into them from the utter court. 42:10The chambers were in the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, over against the separate place, and over against the building. 42:11And the way before them was like the appearance of the chambers which were toward the north, as long as they, and as broad as they: and all their goings out were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors. 42:12And according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south was a door in the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one entereth into them. 42:13Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy. 42:14When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people. 42:15Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about. 42:16He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about. 42:17He measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about. 42:18He measured the south side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed. 42:19He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. 42:20He measured it by the four sides: it had a wall round about, five hundred reeds long, and five hundred broad, to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane place.

43:1Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east:43:2And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.43:3And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face.43:4And the glory of the LORD came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east.43:5So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.43:6And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me.43:7And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places.43:8In their setting of their threshold by my thresholds, and their post by my posts, and the wall between me and them, they have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger.43:9Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcases of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.43:10Thou son of man, show the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern.43:11And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, show them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.43:12This is the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.

Acts 21:37-22:21

21:37And as Paul was to be led into the castle, he said unto the chief captain, May I speak unto thee? Who said, Canst thou speak Greek? 21:38Art not thou that Egyptian, which before these days madest an uproar, and leddest out into the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers? 21:39But Paul said, I am a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people. 21:40And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,

22:1Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you.22:2(And when they heard that he spake in the Hebrew tongue to them, they kept the more silence: and he saith,)22:3I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.22:4And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.22:5As also the high priest doth bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, for to be punished.22:6And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me.22:7And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?22:8And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.22:9And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.22:10And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.22:11And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus.22:12And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,22:13Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.22:14And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.22:15For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.22:16And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.22:17And it came to pass, that, when I was come again to Jerusalem, even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance;22:18And saw him saying unto me, Make haste, and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive thy testimony concerning me.22:19And I said, Lord, they know that I imprisoned and beat in every synagogue them that believed on thee:22:20And when the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them that slew him.22:21And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send thee far hence unto the Gentiles.
